As GPU and CPU power increases, real-time ray tracing is becoming more and more likely to be our rendering method of choice. This article takes a look at a custom made engine for both Quake 3 and Quake 4 that uses ray tracing for rendering as well as collision detection. Pictures and videos show off the impressive results!
