Cool, and original in the way that this is in fact one line.
The effect in itself is known and has been done in many beautifull ways before.

I seriously doubt it though that the artist really made this in one single penstroke
For instance there is the issue of running out of ink - for this must have been done with a calligraphic pen (to get the differentiation in thickness).
But, as I said before, cool though!
